NORFOLK, Va. — One person is dead after a stabbing on N Military Highway on Wednesday night, according to Norfolk police.
Around 5 p.m. on Wednesday night, Norfolk police arrived at a Holiday Inn Express at 1157 N Military Highway on the report of a stabbing that started as a fight between a man and a hotel employee, according to police. They were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment where 48-year-old Lewis Diaz died of his injuries.
Police are not looking for any other suspects, and will work with the Commonwealth Attorney's Office after the investigation has concluded, they say.
