PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth police are investigating a Friday night shooting .
Officers say they got a call around 11:33 p.m., for a shooting in the 700 block of Godwin St.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
This is an active investigation.
