PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth Police are investigating an early Saturday morning shooting .
Investigators tell News 3, they received a call for shots fired at 1:10 a.m. Saturday morning, in the 1600 block of Lasalle Ave. Once Portsmouth Police arrived, that's where they located an adult male victim suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Investigators say that victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
This is an active investigation with the PPD Major Crime Unit.
