HAMPTON, Va. — A woman is dead after a moped/car crash on Monday night, according to the Hampton Police Department.
Around 6:43 p.m., Hampton police arrived at the Big Bethel Road and Lassiter Drive intersection and found a car, a moped and an unconscious woman at the scene. First aid was done at the scene and the woman was taken to a local hospital, but she died on the way.
The moped was driving near the intersection when it hit a car, according to the preliminary investigation.
The HPD's Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating this incident.
