HAMPTON, Va. — A toddler died after being shot on LaSalle Avenue Wednesday night, according to the Hampton Police Division.
Around 8:30 p.m., police arrived at the 600 block of LaSalle Avenue on the report of a shooting. Officers found a 2-year-old boy who had been shot. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment where he died of his injuries, according to HPD.
The motive and circumstances of the shooting are under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call HPD at 757-727-6111.
