CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Police say one person died and another was hospitalized following a crash Saturday morning in Chesapeake.
We're told police and fire units responded to South George Washington Highway near Dismal Swamp Canal Trail around 7:27 a.m. for reports of a crash.
Police say the driver of one vehicle, identified Monday as 23-year0old Brandon Jarman of Portsmouth, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of a second vehicle was transported to a hospital with injuries but is expected to survive.
Chesapeake Police is investigating the crash.
