CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car early Monday morning, said Chesapeake police.
Chesapeake police responded to the area of South George Washington Highway and Sawyers Arch at around 5:50 a.m. where they found 53-year-old Elkana Geshole Mwangi of Chesapeake.
Mwangi was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The driver stayed after the crash and is cooperating with investigators, CPD says.
