NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A person is facing charges after four Newport News City Jail inmates were hospitalized for overdosing earlier this month.
The overdoses, caused by an "unknown substance," happened back on Sept. 11, the sheriff's office says.
The sheriff's office didn't identify the person who was arrested, but they did say the source of the drugs appears to be a contract kitchen worker.
The investigation remains ongoing.
