Vashti is one of News 3’s newest digital team members. She is a native of the Susquehanna Valley, hailing her roots from Hanover, PA – home of the UTZ Potato Chip and Synder’s Pretzels factories.
She got her start in news as a Writer and Digital Producer at KUSI News and FOX 5 San Diego covering major stories including the Poway Synagogue shooting, Kincade Wildfire, the death of Kobe Bryant, as well as the death and protests of George Floyd.
Aside from Vashti’s hard news coverage, she has also covered a wide range of entertainment news. She has interviewed celebrities such as Josh Lucas and John Malkovich and covered recaps of Red-Carpet Fashion and award shows.
Vashti is a storyteller and values sharing the stories of those who go unnoticed and that matters to the community. When she’s not at work she enjoys family time, binge watching episodes of Emily in Paris, cooking, online shopping, and journaling.
